I did not quite surrender
In your open hands
That rocked my body gently
And played with my hair in the sand

You repeated the promises
You made me years ago
And you told me stories
That set my heart aglow

You beckoned me to follow you
With closed eyes
To ride without restraint
The rippled flesh of your turquoise thighs

My one faithful lover
As I walk away, you kiss my toes
Wishing I would stay
Knowing I'll be back
